About EmailSigner
EmailSigner is a small, sharp tool with one job: help you produce a professional email signature without surrendering anything in exchange.
Why this exists
Making an email signature should take five minutes. Instead, the top search results want an account, an email address for “your free download”, a monthly fee to remove their watermark from under your name, or all three. The product being sold is usually you.
So we built the version we wanted: a static page that does the whole job in your browser. Nine templates engineered for email’s strange HTML dialect, honest previews for dark mode and blocked images, a compatibility check that tells you the truth about Gmail and base64 images, and installation guides written from actually installing signatures, not from other people’s screenshots.
The rules it runs by
- No accounts. Nothing about a signature requires one.
- No tracking. No analytics scripts, no pixels, no cookies. Your draft autosaves to your own device’s local storage and nowhere else.
- No watermark. Your signature carries your name, not ours.
- No backend. The generator is static files. There is no server that could store your data, even accidentally.
- Honest limits. Where email clients are broken (Gmail hiding embedded images, Android’s text-only signature) we say so, instead of pretending.
Who makes it
EmailSigner is part of plainforge, a small workshop of free, privacy-first web tools built on the same principles: do one job properly, in the browser, for nothing. It’s kept online by people who find it useful. If that’s you, the coffee button is the entire business model.
Questions, bugs, ideas
A client rendering something oddly? A template you wish existed? Write to the bureau. Real reports are how the guides and the compatibility check stay accurate.
